Triceps make up about two-thirds of the muscle mass of your upper arm! This means that while biceps often get all the attention, your triceps are actually the larger muscle group and play a crucial role in arm strength and stability. The triceps are responsible for extending the elbow and are heavily involved in pushing movements, such as bench presses and push-ups. So next time you're working out, remember that those triceps are doing a lot of the heavy lifting!
Check out this weeks TOTW "Training Season" for triceps training that will increase strength and definition of your triceps.
